we loved them when we left them and we love them today...

this family.....
makes my heart happy.
They came to visit us last Thursday through Tuesday.
Our friends John & Amy and their beautiful children, Rocco (5) Grace (4) and Sam (3) vacationed in
Minnesota!!!!!!  Now that is what I call great friends!

Steve met this guy
John in 1998. (That makes us sound old, doesn't it?)  They became fast friends.

Then I met this lady
Amy
and guess what?  Loved her.
Then every year, for 3 years straight, I met each one of these adorable little people in the delivery room.
When moved from Boston there were many things we sadly missed and this family was a huge part of it.  Lucky for us we had a reunion last weekend and it was wonderful.  We did so many fun things and about 500 photos later, I don't know which ones to post.  We hit the State Fair, the Mall of America, Chutes and Ladders park, swimming, roasting marshmallows and playing at the park.
The kids all played well together and we did a lot of fun things together.  The adults enjoyed a lot of visiting, laughing about the kids/parenting and just picking up where we left off.
It was very sad to see them go and the commune was working out pretty well.  4 adults can pretty easily take on 6 children.  I personally loved having a girlfriend in the kitchen preparing every meal with me (even though she was supposed to be a a guest!)  In case you are wondering we drank 7 gallons of milk between Thursday evening and Tuesday morning.  (Gave the Duggars a run for their money!)  This is not counting the all-you-can-drink milk booth at the fair.  We miss you guys and are so thankful to your family for vacationing here!  Lots of Love, Gina and Family

Here are a few photos from the weekend:

Our only family picture at the fair and I am hunched over the stroller like a dork.

Thanks for coming dear friends.
