19 weeks!!!!!

Isn't she sweet?  Or should I say, isn't he sweet?

I can't believe that 19 weeks have already went by.  Since I won't go until my due date we are essentially half way!  Today was our ultrasound and baby looked great!  We don't have a lot of great photos and the 3d ultrasound was pretty frightening as the baby was using the placenta as a pillow on the side of his or her face.  So this is our best "identifiable" photo.

In the last few months there have been some pretty "funny" frequently asked questions so I thought maybe it would be fun to write about them on the blog.

FAQ's (in no particular order.)

Q: Was this baby a "surprise, oops, accident, planned?" (Or any way you want to phrase this awkward question.)
A: Believe it or not, crazy as it sounds, we wanted a fourth baby!!!!  Can you believe it?  I must be crazy but I prayed long and hard about this decision and for this baby.  Gabby is 4 so this wasn't a spur of the moment decision.  We are so very excited....besides, babies are bliss in utero right?!?!

Q: Are you trying for a boy?
A: Um, we have 3 girls, do you think we are idiots?  Not to mention, what do you think it would be like for a little boy to be raised by 4 mothers?:)

Q: Is your house big enough?
A: Yes, we have 5 bedrooms and Steve and I share a bedroom.  Well then, maybe we shouldn't share a room so maybe the answer is no!  ha.

Q: Are you AMA?
A: Part of the Amazing Mother Association. why yes I am :)  (No amateurs allowed!)

Q: Will you be finding out the gender?
A: We have had several opportunities so far and have not found out.  The girls would really like to find out.  (For all the right reasons like.... shopping!)

Q: Are the girls excited?
A: Sydney is excited.  Tess is over the moon.  Gabby well, she is warming up to the idea.  I have heard her tell a few people her Mommy has a baby in her belly so I will take that as a sign of progress!

Q: How are you feeling?
A: I feel great!  I am very blessed with easy pregnancies and weirdly, really, really like being pregnant.  I could talk about it 24/7, I rub my belly every chance I have when people aren't watching and think the world would be heavily overpopulated if everyone felt the way I do when they are pregnant.

Q: Did you save your things from the other girls?
A: Not really and I am sure my family is hoping I will take the time to do some maternity clothes shopping so they no longer have to look at the plumbers crack I am starting to sport in my regular clothes.  I am accepting donations and also will take donations of your 6th grade training bras for after I am finished nursing our 4th child!  As for baby stuff, we have a few things and the girls point out every little thing that we see in the stores, it is so cute.

Q: Do you have any cravings?
A: A nap.  You mean food, pretty much everything, especially carbs.

These questions make me smile....even though I am pretty sure people think we are crazy.  I am over the moon and feel so blessed to get to experience this all over again with Steve and the girls.  I will never take this time and blessing for granted.

Have a great night.
Love, Gina

And I especially love how you talk about being pregnant and how wonderful it is and what a blessing it is. I love that you and Steve are having another baby and adding to your already awesome crew. So excited for you.
