Visiting Colorado Cousins

After the 4th of July festivities we jumped on the road and started out for Colorado to visit Steve's brother Paul, Aunt Erica and cousins Jack and Ellis.  We drove as far as we could for the afternoon and then we found this quaint little hotel in a small town.  Clean, yet tacky.  We walked in and Gabby exclaimed, "This is so cool!"  Always bring a 4 year old to make you feel like you are doing a good job.  The 9 year old was not impressed.....

we slept for the night and then woke up early to arrive at our destination by early afternoon.

Our time with family was a lot of fun and they kept us entertained every minute.
the kids enjoyed biking at a cool bike park while they were there
and the cousins were fast friends despite the distance.
they spent some time at a weather museum

and enjoyed the views around us

 we enjoyed lunch out
and the kids enjoyed feeding the "city chickens."
and they enjoyed lots of cousin time
 swimming was a hit

and an evening with our friends the Trujillos was a nice end to our stay

thank you for your hospitality and taking care of our growing circus!!!!!! xoxo
we left early in the morning and decided to break the trip up with a walk through everyone's favorite......
Wall Drug, South Dakota!

South Dakota brought back memories for me and also made the drive seem a lot shorter....of course the drive always seems shorter when you never get behind the wheel!  It will be payback next year I am sure when we have a baby in the car....maybe I will volunteer to drive!

love, Gina
