Easter 2015

I love Easter.  I love the true meaning of Easter and I also love all of the things we do to celebrate Easter in our family.  I am pretty sure I was having anxiety on Saturday night thinking about being ready for 0845 church service.  0845 is the usual time we go but Easter is different.  On a normal Sunday I have coffee with my sister, rush in the house, start ordering the family around, put my hair up and we rush out the door.  Easter is different because Mom even tries to look presentable.  It is kind of ironic because I want everyone to look really nice, try so hard to have everything all ready for the 6 of us, try to look put together and then we sit down in the pew and there goes any control I thought I had.  Yes, church with a 15 month is quite a trip.  (Did I also mention that Steve took her pacifier away a few weeks ago?  Hello, church without a pacifier is also quite a trip.)  During the service she spins on your lap like she is possessed, she loves the sound of her echoing voice and she basically tears the place apart.  She broke my necklace, took a fist full of cheerios and whipped them on the floor and did a lot of screaming.  We took her out twice….I felt a bit messy.  Other than that I do love going to church as a family but lets just say 15 months is not a super good church age.  My niece on the other hand who is close to the same age, is ultra relaxed and quiet and she makes Cece look demonic!

After church we headed over to the South Minneapolis bunny.
There may have been some pushing and rough play on the bunny by one of my "rougher" sweet b's and I may have flipped out for a minute when I saw her big hole in her tights but I did calm down and realize that it really doesn't matter.  (Note one child with no tights on anymore.)

Then we headed to my sister's for an Easter egg hunt that was enjoyed by all ages.

this little lady took things pretty seriously and hovered over her eggs at all times.

Then this lovely couple hosted all of us a delicious lunch in their newly renovated home.

And we also celebrated the newly retired one more time!
And some people always seem to party until they puke.  Miss Cece christened their new carpet and made our exit much quicker than we had planned.  Nothing says, "We better leave," better than someone throwing up on the new carpet.  Luckily she only did that one more time before the day was done.
Other than that, it was a lovely day.
Have a great weekend.
Love, Gina
